Margaret Houy

MPP, J.D, M.B.A.

Marge Houy has had a distinguished career in the health care field. She began her career working at a state agency that regulated health insurers  by helping to initiate innovative programs to control inappropriate health care costs; she practiced health care law for ten years before becoming an administrator at several of the highest rated HMO’s in the country. She concluded her career as a consultant, working with health plans, Medicaid programs and foundations to improve the quality of care provided to disenfranchised people.  She joined the TCFR Board in 2019 and has been an active member. 
 
In addition to her work with TCFR, Marge is a trained facilitator in Pima County’s Restorative Justice Program and a trained community mediator through the Center for Community Mediation and Facilitation in Tucson.  She and her husband love to travel and spend time with their grandchildren.
 
Marge received her BA from Pitzer College, Claremont, CA; her JD and Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, and her MBA from Simmons College, Boston, MA.
