The Evolution of Warfare

General David H. Petraeus (US Army, Ret.) (New York) is a Partner at KKR and Chairman of the KKR Global Institute. He served over 37 years in the U.S. military, culminating his career with six consecutive commands as a general officer, five of which were in combat, including command of the Surge in Iraq, command of U.S. Central Command, and command of coalition forces in Afghanistan. He then served as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. General Petraeus holds a PhD in International Relations from Princeton University.
 

In his book "Conflict: The Evolution of Warfare from 1945 to Ukraine,” coauthored with the British historian Andrew Roberts, General Petraeus examines the recent history of warfare and the importance of strategic leadership.TCFR is excited to partner with the University of Arizona’s International Security Studies Program (https://iss.sbs.arizona.edu/) to host this online event. The event will be moderated by COL Michael L. Burgoyne (USA, Ret), Assistant Professor of Practice, University of Arizona and TCFR board member.
