Anthony Vinci
Anthony Vinci is the author of the forthcoming book: The Fourth Intelligence Revolution: The Future of Espionage and the Battle to Save America (Henry Holt, Macmillan, 2025). In 2017, Anthony was appointed as the first Chief Technology Officer and Associate Director for Capabilities at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), the US intelligence agency that is responsible for satellite imagery and geospatial data analysis. As CTO, he was tasked with integrating artificial intelligence into NGA operations and fostering partnerships with Silicon Valley technology companies. As Associate Director he managed the agency’s technology, R&D, contracting, procurement, strategy and budget. While at NGA, Anthony was also on the Senior Steering Group and Executive Committee of Project Maven, the Department of Defense’s program focused on applying AI across the military. Earlier in his career, he served as an intelligence officer in Iraq, Asia, and Africa. Anthony is a Senior Advisor at Squire Patton Boggs and serves on the boards of several technology companies. Previously he was a Managing Director at Cerberus Capital Management, a member of the Core Management Team at Bridgewater Associates and he was the founder and CEO of two technology companies. Anthony received his PhD in International Relations from The London School of Economics and studied Philosophy at Reed College and the University of Oxford. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Special Forces Club and the Explorers Club.
