I was a member, and on the Board of, the Madison Committee of Foreign Relations in Madison, WI for approximately 15 years, serving as its events coordinator for the majority of that time.  Now that we winter (about November to May) in Tucson, I’ve joined TCFR.  I’ve enjoyed TCFR’s programming and am looking forward to contributing to the organization as a Board member.

Professional Background

I’ve been a lawyer in private practice in Madison, WI for 40+ years with several firms, including as a partner with Quarles & Brady, a national firm which has a Tucson office.  I had my own firm for 16 years until I retired effective in January 2025.  My primary areas of practice have been management side employment law and general business law.  I’ve also worked as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association for the last approximately 17 years.  Prior to becoming a lawyer I was a sales rep in the Data Processing Division for IBM in Madison, WI.

Among other volunteer activities I worked with the Tucson office of the International Rescue Committee assisting with immigration matters.

Personal

My husband, Jim Cole, and I enjoy the welcoming Tucson Community and the bicycling offered by its 130 miles of paved trails.  We also enjoy hiking the surrounding canyons and parks, as well as traveling stateside and abroad.
