Judy Thompson
Judy Thompson is a retired executive with a long career in international business, with a focus on both finance and technology. She began her career with Continental Illinois Bank and held various positions in the U.S. and Asia, including Vice President of the bank’s Taiwan Branch and Vice President and General Manager of its Hong Kong subsidiary. Subsequently, she joined Motorola as Assistant Treasurer, International. She then moved to Europe as Vice President and Director of Business Development for Europe, Middle East and Africa in the company’s International Networks Division. Judy left Motorola to become Managing Director of Financial Services Volunteer Corp, a New York-based non-profit doing financial consulting in Eastern Europe and Russia, after which she became the C.F.O. for a start-up broadband telecommunications company in Moscow. Her last international position before retirement was as a partner in an investment advisory company which managed The Taiwan Greater China Fund, a NYSE-traded fund which invested primarily in Taiwan technology companies doing business in China.

Judy moved Tucson in 2023, having originally retired to Telluride, CO. In Telluride, she volunteered on the boards of the Telluride Medical Center and the Wilkinson Public Library.
Judy has a B.S. from Iowa State University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
